Classes are typically held on Saturdays during school terms. However, greater flexibility is offered during half-term breaks, as well as Easter and summer holidays.


I have always had a passion for cooking, especially showing Japanese cuisine to non-Japanese people, and held many one-off cooking classes in the past.
It has been a long-time dream of mine to start a fully-fledged cooking class.
I will introduce mainly simple but delicious dishes that can be easily made at home using ingredients available at most supermarkets.

RIE WAKAYAMA
Originally from Tokyo, I moved to England in 2004 and have been teaching Japanese language for small children, secondary school students, and evening courses at Universities since 2006.
I have always had a passion for cooking and my business “Weysushi” sold take away sushi from Dorchester farmers market from 2011 until moving to Oxford in 2015.
